Heading back to Australia for this week’s mix, with Melbourne-based wonder - Millú. Originally from the coastal town of Mt Eliza, she’s laid the groundwork in the past few years to becoming a staple in the scene. As a regular host to Melbourne’s 3RRR Radio, holding the monthly show, ‘Dischord’ on Skylab Radio, she also stands as a resident for both Club D’erange and Wax’o Paradiso. The prior being and outlet for all things “dark and absurd”, while the latter channels the daytime party affair.
No stranger to peculiar and opaque sounds, her set takes listeners on a bit of journey through the arcane and ritualistic surroundings. Millú doesn’t shy away from putting local acts and imprints forward - including tracks from Nite Fleit (Steel City Dance Discs), Louis Marlo (Felt Sense Recordings), and Phran’s new Project ‘Ivan’ via Best Effort Records.
So far as trivia goes, Millú received a noise complaint from her new neighbor for recording this mix - so please don’t let that sacrifice go in vain. She’s an extremely talented DJ, and we’re elated to have a mix from her. Enjoy.
